Today we didn’t have ministry so instead, we prayed for guidance then went out into the nearby city of Chimaltenango and looked for people to build relationships with and pray for. Also, we decided to live like the twelve disciples and not bring any money except for transportation. Today was also our first time going out and doing ATL with just our ministry team and no leaders. After we were dropped off in the city center, we started walking towards the mall and ended up praying for a couple people. Then we stumbled upon a side street with an open gate and decided to walk down it. As we walked we had the opportunity to pray for a lady who was very sweet and owned a house cleaning company. Then, we walked further and noticed a man named Fernando and his wife looking out his garage and we introduced ourselves and then they invited us in. We ended up having the sweetest conversation with him and his wife and just building such a beautiful relationship by also sharing about our lives. They ended up giving us something to drink so praise God! We also learned that he has been a pastor of a local evangelical church a couple blocks away for 42 years! After that, we left and headed towards the mall. When we walked into the mall, I noticed that some of our friends from P-squad were at the coffee shop. So we got to have such great conversations with them and turns out, before we came in, they had prayed we would get to see them again! As we went to leave, one of my friends from P-squad ended up blessing us with money for lunch. We then went to the mall food court and they were there too! After lunch, we realized we had some money left over and one of my squad mates had the great idea to get some flowers to pass out. This allowed us to spread the love of God even with a language barrier. This goes to show that when you walk by faith and trust God to provide for you He will. “For the Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” Psalms 119:105.

  1. Love this. You all got blessed, and you blessed quite a few people. Passing out flowers is a beautiful way to let people know they are seen!
